InPersonJob is a recruitment and professional networking platform available at inpersonjob.com. It helps job seekers showcase their experience through professional profiles, CVs, and videos, and helps employers discover candidates, manage applications, and communicate with applicants.
The platform is operated by InPersonJob, registered in Egypt, with its business address in Cairo, Egypt. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to InPersonJob.
This policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you visit our website or use the services covered by this policy. Where applicable, we are the controller responsible for that information. Employers and recruiters may separately be responsible for information they receive and use during recruitment.
The information collected depends on your account type and the features you use. It may include:
•Account and contact information: your name, email address, telephone number, account credentials, country, city, and account type.
•Professional information: your CV or résumé, education, work history, skills, qualifications, portfolio, job preferences, and information you add to your profile. If you choose CV-based profile completion, information may be extracted from your uploaded CV to populate your profile. Please review the result for accuracy.
•Videos and uploaded content: photographs, video introductions, video applications, audio, and other materials you upload. Recordings may reveal your face, voice, surroundings, and any personal information you include.
•Recruitment and networking activity: jobs you view, save, post, or apply for; application progress; employer interactions; professional connections; and other activity within the services you use.
•Messages and support communications: messages exchanged through the platform and information you provide when contacting us, including attachments and feedback.
•Employer information: company details, recruitment contact information, job descriptions, and information used to administer an employer account.
•Technical and usage information: IP address, browser and device information, log records, pages or features used, and information collected through cookies or similar technologies, where used.
We may receive information from employers or other users when they interact with your account. If you use a third-party sign-in or integration, we may receive the information you authorize that provider to share.
Do not include government identification numbers, bank details, health information, or other sensitive information in a public profile, CV, video, or message unless necessary and you understand who will receive it. Do not upload another person’s information without appropriate permission or another lawful basis.
We use personal information to:
•Create and administer accounts, profiles, and employer pages.
•Enable CV-based profile completion, video applications, job posting, application tracking, networking, and messaging.
•Recommend relevant jobs or candidates based on professional information, preferences, and platform activity.
•Provide support and send account, application, security, and service-related communications.
•Maintain and improve the platform, diagnose technical problems, and understand feature usage.
•Detect fraud, spam, abuse, and other misuse; protect users; and enforce our Terms of Use.
•Meet legal obligations and establish, exercise, or defend legal rights and claims.
Promotional messages, if sent, are subject to applicable consent and electronic-marketing requirements. You may unsubscribe using the instructions in a message or by contacting us. Essential service and security notices are separate from promotional messages.
Processing is subject to the Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020 and its Executive Regulations, where applicable, together with any other mandatory laws that apply to the processing.
We rely on your explicit consent where required, or another basis permitted by applicable law. Depending on the activity, this may include processing necessary to perform a contractual obligation, comply with a legal obligation or competent authority’s order, establish or defend legal rights, or pursue legitimate interests where legally permitted and not overridden by your rights and freedoms.
Where we request consent, it must be specific, informed, and freely given. Consent required for an activity is separate from acceptance of our Terms of Use. You may withdraw consent by contacting support@inpersonjob.com or using the relevant controls, where available. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal, and processing may continue where another lawful basis applies.
Information you publish in public profiles, job listings, or community areas may be visible to other users and website visitors. Publicly accessible pages may also be indexed by search engines. Do not assume that content posted in a public area is confidential.
The audience for a CV, video, or other item depends on how you use the feature and the settings available to you. Materials included in a job application are shared with the relevant employer and its authorized recruitment team. Content posted to a profile or shared through another feature may reach a different audience. Review the intended audience before uploading or sending content. If the audience is unclear, contact us before sharing sensitive material.
Employers may retain application information they receive under their own legal obligations and privacy practices. Removing content from InPersonJob may not remove copies already lawfully received by others, although applicable privacy rights may still apply to those copies.
Publicly shared content may be copied or redistributed outside our control. Our Terms prohibit unauthorized use of candidate information, but no platform can guarantee that another person will never misuse information they receive.
InPersonJob uses information such as skills, experience, preferences, and platform activity to support recommendations of jobs and candidates. These recommendations help users discover relevant opportunities and profiles. They may not always accurately reflect your interests or qualifications, and they do not guarantee a recruitment outcome.
Employers are responsible for their hiring decisions and for complying with employment and data protection laws. Where applicable law gives you rights concerning profiling or automated decisions, you may contact us to request an explanation, object to processing, or request human review where that right applies.
Acceptance of our Terms or uploading a video does not, by itself, authorize unrestricted reuse of your content, biometric identification, sensitive personal inferences, or the training of general-purpose AI models. Any such additional processing must have the required legal basis, disclosures, permissions, and safeguards.
We may share information with:
•Employers, recruiters, and other users: to provide application, messaging, networking, and content-sharing features.
•Service providers: providers supporting functions such as hosting, storage, video delivery, communications, support, security, or analytics, where used. Processing on our behalf must be subject to appropriate confidentiality, security, and data-processing obligations.
•Professional advisers and competent authorities: where reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to a valid legal request, protect rights or safety, or handle legal claims.
•Parties to a corporate transaction: where a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or sale of the business involves personal information, subject to applicable safeguards and notice requirements.
•Recipients you authorize: when you request sharing or give any required consent.
Employers may act as independent controllers of applicant information. Their privacy notices govern their subsequent use of that information. We do not authorize them to use candidate information for unrelated advertising, data resale, or other purposes prohibited by our Terms.
Cookies and similar technologies may be used for functions such as keeping you signed in, remembering preferences, securing the service, and understanding usage. Essential technologies support service operation. Optional analytics, advertising, or other non-essential technologies, if used, are subject to applicable disclosure and consent requirements.
Where consent is required, optional technologies must not be activated on the basis of your acceptance of the Terms alone. Information about their purposes and relevant providers must be made available when consent is requested. You may refuse or withdraw consent through the relevant controls where provided.
You can also manage cookies and site storage through your browser settings. Restricting essential technologies may prevent some features from working. For questions about technologies used by the platform or available choices, contact support@inpersonjob.com.
InPersonJob operates from Egypt. This does not mean that every provider or recipient processes information exclusively in Egypt. Information may be processed in other countries depending on the services and recipients involved.
Any international transfer must meet the requirements of applicable Egyptian law and other laws governing the transfer, including required safeguards, authorizations, licences, permits, or legally available exceptions. Consent does not replace other legal requirements that also apply.
You may contact support@inpersonjob.com for information about relevant processing locations and safeguards applicable to your information.
Information is retained only for as long as necessary for its stated purpose, taking account of applicable legal requirements and the circumstances of the processing. The relevant criteria include:
•Accounts, profiles, CVs, and videos: the duration of your use of the account or relevant feature, your removal or deletion request, and any lawful reason for continued retention.
•Applications and recruitment records: the recruitment activity concerned, the service provided to candidates and employers, and any applicable legal or dispute-related retention requirement.
•Messages and support records: the need to deliver communications, resolve an issue, maintain relevant service records, or handle a dispute.
•Technical and security records: the period reasonably necessary for troubleshooting, security, fraud prevention, and legal obligations.
•Backups: the relevant backup lifecycle and any legal preservation requirement. Information awaiting removal from backups must not be retained indefinitely or restored for unrelated active use.
When information is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymized, subject to law. Account closure does not necessarily require immediate removal of records lawfully needed for legal obligations, fraud prevention, or claims. Copies held by employers are governed by their own lawful retention practices.
For a deletion request or information about the retention applicable to a particular record, contact support@inpersonjob.com.
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or disclosure. No online service or transmission method is completely secure.
Protect your account credentials and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. Personal information incidents are handled, and relevant authorities and affected individuals notified, as required by applicable law.
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to your personal information, correction or updating, deletion, restriction of processing to a particular purpose, withdrawal of consent, or objection to processing or its results. Additional rights, including data portability or rights relating to automated decisions, may apply under other laws governing your information.
To exercise a right, request account deletion, or ask a privacy question, contact support@inpersonjob.com or use our Help Center. Include enough information to identify the account and explain your request, but do not send passwords or unnecessary sensitive documents.
We may need to verify your identity or authority. Requests will be addressed within the period required by law. Some requests may be limited by legal obligations or the rights of others; we will explain relevant limitations where permitted or required.
You may also complain to the competent data protection authority. In Egypt, this is the Personal Data Protection Center (PDPC), whose official website is pdpc.gov.eg.
InPersonJob is intended for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact support@inpersonjob.com so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the service, our practices, or legal requirements. The current version will be posted with its update date. Material changes will be notified as required, and additional consent obtained where required by law.
